For the second time, Bracksco supplied wine racks and layout for a Don Collins Builder's Parade of Homes house in Raleigh, NC, October 2007.  This magnificent 11,000 square foot home features a wine room combining VintageView wine racks with beautiful woodwork by Noles Cabinets, with whom we worked on overall design.

The left hand side (shown above) of the approximately 8'x11'x10'h room features an unusual stacking of VintageView presentation racks above a space for flat wood cases, plus more traditional use of VintageView racks above bulk bottle storage, separated by a granite top.  On the right (below) is an identical section of four VintageView racks above bulk storage.

Wine Room at ChatsworthWe also supplied the racking for Don in a 2005 Parade of Homes house (which won a Silver award in its category).

Slightly smaller than our 2004 Parade of Homes wine room, this one is about 54"W x 44"D, off a first floor hallway, complete with iron doors.  Because the room is not insulated and cooled (though that modification is possible for the buyer), storage for a smaller number of bottles was planned by using 2-deep racks instead of 3-deep just along the back wall.  There are four columns of seven foot high racks (a 3' rack on top of a 4' rack), with a total bottle capacity of 168 bottles.

This home is in the Chatsworth subdivision, off Norwood Road in North Raleigh.  Interior design was handled by Susan Stone Interiors (919-781-7807, Raleigh, NC), and it was Susan who once again recommended our racks.  The "WonderBoard" (concrete based sheet material) walls were rough coated with "mud" (a concrete mix) to give them a rough appearance, then painted.  The racks were mounted with toggle bolts.  Lighting is via a low-voltage track light out of sight about the inside of the arched doorway.
