Philip Hurst says he builds "classic, exclusive, custom homes"; and that concept extends to the wine room!  In one of his creations, the model home (and 2004 Parade of Homes GOLD WINNER) at Linville in Raleigh, NC, he selected VintageView wine racks for the wine room off the front hallway.  Because the room is small, we recommended 2-bottle deep racks.  The capacity is 210 bottles, but it could easily be doubled by using the side walls.

Interior design for the model home was handled by Susan Stone Interiors (919-781-7807, Raleigh, NC), and it was Susan who recommended our racks.  Susan also chose to spray paint the racks with an epoxy-based paint to match the color of the grout in the hand-painted faux stones on the wall ... so yes, the racks can be painted!  (As of August, 2005, black racks are now part of our standard line.)

The wine barrel, wine on the barrel, and glasses, came from Chatham Hill Winery in Morrisville, NC.
