Wine Facts:  We recently read that only 35% of adults in the USA drank any wine in the last year, and half that many had one or more glasses a week (Wine Market Council).  45% of adults drink beer.  A recent article in the Wall Street Journal Online gives advice from "maverick entrepreneur" Tim Hanni regarding pairing wine and food.  Most interesting was that adding salt and lemon to certain foods makes them good matches with whatever wine you wish to serve.  For example, asparagus is an extremely difficult food to pair with wine.  Hanni says the addition of salt and lemon or lime solves the problem.  If you don't want to drink a traditional heavy wine like Cabernet Sauvignon with steak, then add salt and lemon, etc.
