Label SaversWe sell a lot of LabelOff brand Label Savers, so we would like to tell you a little more about them this month.  They offer a wonderful way to preserve the memory of the best wines you taste.  You smooth these very sticky acetate sheets over your wine label, pull hard, and remove the label.  The Label Saver actually splits the label, removing and permanently laminating the top printed portion, while leaving the glue-impregnated bottom of the label on the bottle.

We buy them directly from the person who invented them, and they are manufactured here in the USA.  Other companies (notably Wine Enthusiast) sell similar looking and similarly named products which are manufactured overseas and are, we believe, lower quality.  The inventor recently communicated the following information to us:

We have submitted samples of LABELOFF and competitive products to the foremost independent adhesive testing laboratory in the USA.  One of the ASTM (American Society for Testing and Materials) tests actually weighs the amount of paper removed.  To date, LABELOFF has been rated the best.

We price our Label Savers very competitively (currently $7.95/10-pack with free shipping ) and offer a significant discount if you purchase ten 10-packs at $59.95 (also with free shipping -- please keep that in mind).  We have not raised our prices in years, even though shipping costs have gone up.

So where do you put your labels after you remove them from the bottle?  We currently offer four wine label albums.  Two of them are "coffee table" albums -- fancy covers, designed for proud presentation:

Wine Record Book Wine Dossier

Our beautiful Wine Record Book will hold 87 wine labels on the right page with your descriptive information on the left page.  With its navy cover with embossed pewter accents, you'll be proud to leave this out on your coffee table.  And it comes in an equally beautiful gift box.  8" x 6", $34.95.

Our Wine Dossier has an interesting history.  After the stock of the original publication (with a green dust jacket) ran out, the author sold the rights to another company, who changed to a brown-tone dust jacket (as shown above) over a wonderful gold-embossed leather-look burgundy cover.  When their stock ran out, it was reprinted, but a printing error (typo) was introduced.  No books were available for a couple of years while responsibility for the error was debated by lawyers!  Finally, the "defective" stock was made available to a limited number of retailers like Bracksco at a significant discount, due to the printing error, with no plans to ever release a corrected version again.  We have always owned-up to the typo in our web description, and we have pointed out that it is in a section of the book most people will never use.  The 136 pages available for labels and their write-ups have no errors.  At $17.95 for this $30 book, it's quite a bargain.  (One of these albums is selling for $85 "almost in new condition" on Amazon, where the cheapest "new" copy is $19.99 with "slight shelf wear," and the others range from $25 to $55.  We've never seen anyone else acknowledge the printing error.  Our copies are brand new and shrink wrapped.)

Contemporary Wine Journal Wine Diary

Our Contemporary Wine Journal is more informal, but it holds 25 wine labels and write-ups, 34 additional write-ups, and has a Glossary of Wine Terms and The Art of Tasting.  The book comes with 15 label savers, but they are not the LabelOff brand.  92 pages, $19.95.  Add a pack of LabelOff Label Savers for $7.95.

Finally, the Wine Diary has been out of print for a long time, but we still have a few left (in pristine condition).  We've cut the price on this 9" x 4" informal diary to just $9.95, waiving our minimum order fee.  It holds 90 labels and write-ups and fits in jacket pocket or purse to take with you.  With a pack of Label Off Label Savers, the total is just $17.90 plus $3.50 shipping.

Interested?  Visit our Label Savers web page if you need more information, and call us at 888-327-0637 to order.  We're here 9-9 Monday to Friday to help.

REMEMBER:  Our core business is wine racking, and we'll help you choose
everything from a six bottle tabletop rack to a room or store full of racks!
