Two great evenings and a wonderful tour of the high school.  So glad that Kate Buckley made it; she brings great enthusiasm where ever she goes; and our wonderful Peggy is right behind her ... As you will see from the
pictures we are showing our age, but, inside we are "mature" teenagers.

For comradery this reunion was probably the best, lots of classmates talking to new friends.
No mention of it in some of the e-mails, but Leslie Spence Hensler driving up from Buffalo,
Texas (children in Ct and NJ) brought about 15 "Texas" theme gifts, i.e Christmas tree ornament (Allie)
4'x6' Texas flag with star,* Bar-B-Que sauce (Steve Marini), Belt Buckle (Bill Day), etc.

We finished the brunch in the cafe at Olin College. Brother Paul had given each of us a raffle ticket. We spent the
next hour laughing and kidding one another, great way to finish the weekend. Would not have happened
if not for Leslie.

* Found out later in the day that Jim Cruickshank had given his Texas flag to Rich Lyon, whose son
and family live in Texas. In conversation with Rich Jim had found that there may be a possibility
of Rich and wife Deanna moving to Texas to be nearer grandchildren. Rich was very appreciative.

Kathy Buckley

good morning, my dear classmates,
In 1922, margery williams wrote a magical fairy-tale, fanciful enough to be a fairy- tale for chronological children and lesson-based for the 'child' within the adult of any age...The fairy-tale tells the story of a young boy and the love story that evolved when he woke up one morning and found a veleteen rabbit under his arm...From the moment of awakening, the boy and his rabbit were forever attached--on the shore, in the fields, at school ,with a place setting at all meals set for the rabbit made of old-fashioned velveteen...
For years and years the two were inseparable...
IN the years to come, the rabbit would ask a question of the oldest toy in the nursery, the skin horse, "What is REAL?
I want to be REAL..Skin horse, please tell me what is REAL!"
I'm no Skin horse but i'll tell you what is REAL--You, you are real. with your hugs, open hearts, your welcoming smiles,
your tales of victory and tales of troubles...YOU ARE ALL REAL....
AND WHEN WE MEET AGAIN, 2 years or 5, I shall read you the passage that will resonate in each of your hearts,
as YOU ARE REAL.....WE HAVE ALL BECOME REAL; AND LIFE BECOMES MORE PRECIOUS AND TOUCHING WITH EACH PASSING MOMENT....
YOU ARE REAL AND I CANNOT WAIT TO SHARE THE PASSAGE WITH YOU!
I THANK EACH MEMBER OF THE COMMITTEE FOR THEIR TIME AND TROUBLE, FOR MY GET WELL CARDS, FOR MY SPIRITED EMAILS, FOR THEIR GENEROUS OFFER TO PROVIDE TRANSPORTATION....
TALK ABOUT BEING LOVED....
I LOVE YOU ALL BACK....
PHIL AND PAUL, YOU REALLY SHOULD HAVE A RADIO SHOW!
IT IS THURSDAY AND I AM STILL EXCITED ABOUT BEING YOUR FRIEND!!!!!!!!!!!!
WHAT A LIFELONG HONOR AND PRIVILEGE TO BE YOUR FRIEND AND TO BE NHS 64...
OH, WHAT A FRIGGIN GROUP!!!!!!!!!!
LOVING YOU ALL....REALLY LOVE YOU ALL!

(Note:  Kathy is still recovering from a serious accident.)

I like Rich's idea of celebrating our 75 years of life.
I had a wonderful time.
I don't have enough words to say how much it meant to me.
Sometimes life takes us to strange places, difficult situations.
Reconnect to the roots and loved peers grounds us.
Thank you all.
Always me, Judy Merino♥

Thanks for a wonderful reunion for our 55th.  I like the idea for a reunion in 2 years when we will all be 75.  We are so blessed to have a class committee that is so dedicated to planning and communicating.  Our reunions over the years!  I thoroughly enjoyed seeing everyone who attended our 55th!

Linda Roethlisberger

Cannot believe we will all be turning 75 years old!!! How did that happen? A '75' celebration sounds amazing!

Special thanks and 'Cheers' to Paul and Phil and everyone on the reunion committee. You all put some much work in to planning every event. I'm sorry I was not able to attend all of them. Fabulous job…superb organization!!!

Pam Calitri Balabanis

Reunion Committee once again you did a super job with the reunion.  I am sure a good time was had by all.  It was great to reconnect with old friends and even make new ones.

Thanks again for all your hard work.  Looking forward to the 60th!  (God willing and the creek don't rise).

Subject: The great John Isham Re: Reunion Weekend NHS '64

Classmates, for those chronicling our reunion in pictures, let me offer this additional photo as no collection of the class of '64 would be complete without a picture of the great John Isham!

I had the delightful pleasure of several visits with John this past week. Despite some enormous difficulties he is doing great; his strength, spirit and smile have not diminished. An amazing man and an even better friend to us all. We laughed, swapped tales from decades ago and caught up on life's adventures and challenges. As you would expect, he has charmed all the nurses, both the boys and the girls, and has been receiving excellent care at the VA hospital in Tampa FL. He expects to be returning to his home within a month. He is copied here, ishamjohnhenry@yahoo.com .

He misses all of you as we missed having him at our recent gathering and he greatly appreciates the many well wishes and fond memories.

Best to all,
Joe
