From Boston Globe Obituary.

... Thanks to Tom Leary we have a picture of Jim, actually looks pretty good.  Tom (Jackson) called me about Jimmy's passing, ".. roughly a month ago, not feeling well Jim went to the doctor, they found a tumor and hoped at the time with chemo and radiation they could get it .... as happens with surgery they found it had gone to other organs, Jim was given a month."

The last time I saw Jim was about a year ago, McDonalds, had not seen him ... now that I think of it since high school.  Jim lived in the apartments up off of Central Ave, probably 20-25 years (?).  As you will see from the obit, Jim spent his life around the fishing industry; he told me when I saw him last he had (or used to have) an import fish business (located in Gloucester), owned boat (s) that cruised to the Caribbean and South America (?).  His service in Vietnam, I believe/understand took a toll on him. God Rest His Soul.

Thanks, Phil.  Did read about Jimmy's passing in the Boston Globe over the weekend.  We all have such fond memories of Jimmy.  He was a great guy.

I think Bobby (Papetti) and I have the fondest memories of Jimmy than anyone.  He fixed us up in high school and we have been married 44 years this August 6 (2010).  Jimmy drove me home from school every day but first we had to drive to the Dover store to get him a cup of coffee.  He was a great guy and I am proud to be his friend
