Paula Ann (Lawson) Pearson, born May 19, 1945, was peacefully taken
to a better place, on December 19th, 2017. All that were lucky enough to
know her will miss Paula’s kind heart, wit, laughter, strength, and
healing hands. She had a fierce determination to succeed at all that she
set her mind to (even adjusting careers, mid life, to become a talented
message therapist), while possessing an uncanny easy way of loving those
around her (family, friends, clients and strangers).
Born and raised in Needham, Massachusetts, Paula never lost her love for
all things Irish and east coast (including the beach, lighthouses, clams,
nor her trademark accent and don’t get her started on the Patriots).
Though she prized her heritage, roots grew deep during her almost 40 years
of Montana life. Some of her favorite things: mountains, road trips to Red
Lodge accompanied by good music, and her flowers. Paula found great
fulfillment pushing off retirement to bring joy and pain-relief to a few
long-time treasured clients in her beloved space downtown. A favorite way
to wind down a busy morning was to enjoy lunch (and a chat) at The Bin.
She truly lived when spending time with family, good friends, tasty food,
and in great conversation.
She is survived by her
husband of 49 years, Gene, children James, Bridgitte (Carin), grandson
Elias, sister Sara (Dale) Wise, many sisters / brothers in-law, nieces,
nephews, cousins and friends that were truly family in her heart.
All those whose lives Paula touched are invited to celebrate her
life at 11am, Friday, December 29th at St. Bernard’s Catholic Church, 226
Wicks Ln, Billings with reception following.
